Choose Turtle Point or a Trawangan-departure boat
For shore snorkelling on Gili Trawangan, northeast Turtle Point is the named area to locate first. For a guided outing to several sites, choose a tour with a Trawangan meeting point and return. The statues on those itineraries are Nest off Gili Meno; they are not a second sculpture site on Trawangan.
Choose a shore session only after a local assessment of the actual entry and exit. A shared boat suits a set excursion; a private boat gives your party a separate programme. Neither arrangement guarantees turtles, calm water or exclusive access to a site.
Turtle Point is on the northeast coast
Villa Almarik locates Turtle Point on Trawangan’s northeast coast. Use that full island-and-coast name: Mahamaya’s Turtle Point on Meno is another location. A boat tour labelled “Turtle Point” does not by itself establish the shore entry it uses.
From accommodation near the central harbour, make the land journey to the northeast separately; do not use the passenger landing as your snorkelling entry. Take only what you can manage securely at the beach and keep a return plan that does not depend on following a turtle farther offshore.

Manta Dive warns that strong tidal currents affect shore snorkelling and advises speaking to a dive shop before heading out. Turtle Point’s popularity is not a substitute for that assessment. Establish the entry, exit, boat traffic and whether the conditions suit everyone in your party before entering.
If a suitable shore session is not available, stay on land or discuss a guided alternative. Do not improvise a swim across to Meno or treat the southeast surf reef as an alternative beginner water-entry point.

Mad Monkey advertises a four-hour Trawangan excursion with a maximum of 20 participants on a shared public boat. Its programme starts at the snorkelling shop and returns to Gili T. This is the larger shared-boat option in this comparison, not a small-group charter. If you stay on the sunset coast, arrange the cross-island journey to the confirmed shop location as part of the morning. The booking label does not include a pickup from every hotel.

Gili Snorkeling’s premium small-group description specifies a maximum of six people, a 4.5-hour duration and a meeting point by the road in front of Manta Dive Resort on Trawangan. Choose the small group if limiting the advertised group size matters but you are happy to share the programme. Choose the short private format if your own party wants a shorter outing. The max-six statement belongs to the premium programme description; generic participant selectors and other package text are not proof of the actual boat’s capacity or your confirmed guest count.

The two-hour private description is a useful shorter alternative to the four- and 4.5-hour programmes, but its generic lower sections repeat other pickup locations and inconsistent cancellation conditions. Get the Trawangan meeting point, return island, total charge for your party and applicable refund terms on your booking confirmation.
No fixed private-trip total is quoted here because the homepage’s starting-price labels do not establish a clear party-price bracket. Compare like-for-like: a shared per-person seat, a private party quotation and an Air hotel-pickup product are different purchases. A provider’s “non-swimmer” wording also does not establish one-to-one supervision.
