Choose the east for arrival convenience, the west for sunset time
For the simplest luggage arrival, start your Gili Meno accommodation search around the east-side passenger jetty. Choose the west coast if spending afternoons and evenings there matters more than staying near that landing. BASK and Mahamaya are useful named western options, but they suit different room needs; Seri is explicitly adults-only and is not a family alternative.
A west-coast room does not necessarily mean a difficult arrival. BASK describes its own boat landing on the resort beach when conditions allow, with an east-jetty alternative at low tide. Choose the property and the final landing together rather than comparing room photographs alone.

| Your decision | Start here | What you trade off |
|---|---|---|
| Minimise the journey after a public passenger arrival | East-side jetty area; compare the exact property entrance with your landing | Convenience near that landing does not establish the quietest room or best swimming entry |
| Spend evenings on the west coast | Mahamaya at its west-coast Turtle Point location, or BASK on the Trawangan-facing coast | An east-jetty arrival needs a further overland luggage stage unless another landing is arranged |
| Adults-only accommodation | Seri explicitly markets an adults-only stay | Exclude it from a family shortlist; obtain the minimum accepted age directly if relevant |
| Parents need a separate bedroom | Compare Mahamaya’s Two Bedroom Suite with BASK’s multi-bedroom categories | Mahamaya’s Family Suite instead lists two double beds in one master bedroom; the name alone is insufficient |
East-side jetty: put the landing before the hotel shortlist
The east-side jetty is a practical reference point if your confirmed passenger boat lands there. An address labelled simply “Gili Meno” tells you little about the remaining journey. Pick an actual property entrance near the landing if avoiding a cross-island luggage transfer is your priority.
This is a convenience choice, not a promise of silent nights or an uninterrupted beach. Seri describes a sandy approach from the harbour and offers paid private transfer arrangements. That is a useful warning against treating a short map distance as an easy suitcase roll. Arrange bag help or the exact private landing before choosing a more distant property.
Seri: harbour approach and private transfer optionsWest coast: Mahamaya for room choice, BASK for a resort-side arrival option
Mahamaya places itself at Turtle Point on Meno’s west coast. This is Meno’s location, not the similarly named Turtle Point on Trawangan. Its room range includes beachfront villas, poolside suites and a separate two-bedroom option. Pick the actual category if a sea view or separate sleeping space matters; a resort being beachfront does not put every bedroom on the beach.
BASK’s arrival page describes a crossing from Dejavu Hotel on Trawangan to its beach, with a diversion to Meno’s east-side jetty when the tide is too low. Its accommodation list includes garden-view studios, a loft and larger suites. Compare the listed outlook and layout as well as the west-coast setting. Do not assume its boat is included in the room rate or that beach landing is guaranteed.
Mahamaya: west-coast locationFamilies: distinguish a family room from two bedrooms
Mahamaya’s Family Suite lists two double beds in the master bedroom, an additional bathroom and a lounge. Its separate Two Bedroom Suite lists a king-bed master bedroom and a second bedroom with twin beds. Both pages describe standard occupancy of four, with a sofa bed for one child and maximum occupancy of five. They answer different needs if parents want a door between sleeping spaces.
The same hotel publishes an under-five existing-bedding policy and additional charges for extra beds for ages five to twelve in selected categories. Obtain the total for your children’s actual ages and chosen room rather than assuming that a five-person capacity means every child stays free. For BASK, compare the two- or three-bedroom layout directly; Seri’s adults-only policy rules it out for a stay with children.
Mahamaya: bedroom layouts, occupancy and children policyAdults and meals: Seri is a different shortlist
Seri explicitly describes an adults-only resort with standard rooms, beach bungalows and private pool villas. Its dining page describes breakfast, lunch and dinner, with beach dinner tables dependent on weather. That can suit a stay centred on the property, but a restaurant description does not establish an all-inclusive rate.
For any coast, decide whether you want to eat near the room most nights or return from another part of Meno after dark. Compare breakfast inclusions, the full room bill and the return path with the arrival cost. We do not give a “typical nightly price” from an undated search result: room category, dates and the cancellation terms change that comparison.
Seri: meals and weather-dependent beach diningBefore paying for the room
Save the property entrance and confirmed landing, settle who carries the bags and ask for the room category in writing. If steps, soft sand or walking distance could prevent the stay, obtain a description of that exact route rather than treating “beachfront” as an accessibility claim. Neither a hotel location nor the name Turtle Point establishes safe swimming conditions.
Use the activities guide to choose the land and water days after settling the base. Keep the room decision about journeys you will repeat, not just the first arrival.
Property information and booking limits
The named properties’ own location, room, arrival and dining pages were checked on 24 October 2026. They are examples for comparing areas and layouts, not personally inspected hotels, a ranked best-hotel list or a claim of available rooms. Transfer prices, public-boat timetables and live room rates are not inferred from general resort copy.
