Lombok airport to the Gili Islands: ports, prices and arrivals

Book a car-and-boat transfer to your actual island

The Lombok airport to Gili route has a road leg and a sea leg. Choose a combined transfer if you want one provider to coordinate airport pickup and the boat, or book a harbour car and onward crossing separately. The airport is not a Gili departure pier.

Rocksteady advertises airport pickup, an air-conditioned vehicle to Teluk Nara or Bangsal, and a speedboat to Gili Air, Meno or Trawangan. Its published offer is IDR 800,000 for up to four people with a two-hour service duration. Supply your flight arrival details. The page establishes the offered route, not availability at every landing time.

How long does the transfer take?

Rocksteady lists two hours for its airport-to-island service. Lombok Transfer estimates 90 minutes for its airport-to-Bangsal road route and 30 minutes for its separate mainland-to-Gili private boat. Scallywags estimates about two hours for the drive to its own Teluk Kodek marina before the boat.

Use these as product-specific estimates, not interchangeable promises. Add time after landing for baggage, immigration where applicable, meeting the driver and boarding. A flight landing at 14:00 does not mean the car leaves at 14:00.

Price examples: keep the car separate from the boat

Prices below are advertised offers checked in October 2026, not confirmed quotes for your date. Rocksteady's IDR 800,000 airport-to-island package covers up to four people. Lombok Transfer separately advertises IDR 500,000 for an airport-to-Bangsal car for one to four passengers, and IDR 450,000 for a private boat for one to four people from Bangsal/Teluk Nare to Trawangan, Meno or Air. Those two listed components add to IDR 950,000; that arithmetic is not a single confirmed through-booking.

Lombok Transfer lists fuel, parking and tolls among its transfer inclusions and a 20% pickup surcharge between 23:00 and 05:00. Have the provider confirm how any supplement applies to your full journey, plus baggage and harbour charges. Do not compare its car-only fare with another provider's boat-and-car price.

Arriving at Trawangan, Air or Meno

For Trawangan, put Gili Trawangan on the boat confirmation and agree how you will get from the landing to your accommodation. Scallywags advertises its own property transfer from Teluk Kodek; that is different from a generic Trawangan harbour arrival.

For Air, choose Gili Air as the endpoint rather than buying a Trawangan ticket and adding an unnecessary island connection. Rocksteady explicitly lists Air on its airport package. If you are staying at Scallywags Beach Club, its own marina service is another published option.

For Meno, book a provider that explicitly names Gili Meno. Rocksteady does; Scallywags' cited service names its Trawangan and Air properties, not Meno. Supply the accommodation name and obtain the exact landing and final luggage-transfer arrangements.

Late flight arrivals: do not assume a boat will wait

Scallywags states that its last private speedboat departure is 18:00. With its approximate two-hour airport drive, a 16:00 flight arrival already leaves no allowance for baggage, meeting the car or delays before that cutoff. It is not a workable default connection.

Other providers may offer different arrangements, but a flexible booking form is not proof of a confirmed late sailing. Get explicit confirmation tied to your flight, including the delay policy. If the provider cannot confirm the sea leg, stay on mainland Lombok that night and cross the next day. Never assume paying for a private boat removes weather restrictions.

Before paying, get one complete itinerary

The confirmation should name LOP airport pickup, the flight number, passenger and baggage counts, the mainland jetty, the island, meeting arrangements and the total price. If you have children, request suitable car restraints and correctly sized lifejackets rather than assuming they are included. Ask who handles a flight delay and what happens if the crossing is cancelled.

You do not need to choose a Bali fast boat for this route: you are already on Lombok. If you have not decided where to sleep, compare the islands before choosing the endpoint.

Plan the airport return separately

The return journey must be timed around check-in, not your hotel checkout. A short boat crossing is only one part of reaching LOP; an early flight can justify a mainland overnight.
