The route is boat to Lombok, then car to the airport
From the Gili Islands to Lombok airport, book two connected legs: your island to a named mainland harbour, then a car to LOP. A combined boat-and-car booking reduces the handoff you have to organise yourself. A boat ticket to Bangsal or Teluk Nare alone does not get you to the terminal.
Rocksteady lists an island pickup, boat to Teluk Nara and air-conditioned car to the airport. Its page advertises IDR 800,000 for up to four people and a two-hour service duration. Treat that as one operator's published offer, checked in October 2026, not a guaranteed travel time, confirmed seat or island-wide tariff.

Lombok airport's domestic departure guide says to report for check-in at least two hours before departure. Follow your airline if it requires an earlier arrival. The transfer itself comes before that airport allowance.
Rocksteady advises leaving the islands three hours before domestic flights or four before international flights. Its own advertised two-hour transfer would leave only one hour at the terminal under that domestic suggestion. This guide therefore does not use three hours as a safe default: allow the full transfer, the airport's check-in allowance and additional disruption time.

For a 15:00 flight, the airport's two-hour guidance means reaching the terminal by 13:00. Using a two-hour transfer estimate gives 11:00 as the boat departure before adding any contingency. With an extra hour for delays, a 10:00 boat is the more conservative planning example. Leave your room earlier to reach the agreed pickup.
This is an editorial timing example, not a booked 10:00 sailing or a guarantee that one hour covers every delay. For an early flight, or a departure you cannot afford to miss, leave the island the previous day and sleep on mainland Lombok. For international travel, use the airline's reporting time rather than copying this domestic example.
Choose the harbour before arranging the driver
Teluk Nare, also written Teluk Nara, is the mainland endpoint in Rocksteady's island-to-airport package. Bangsal is another transfer endpoint, but a driver waiting at Bangsal cannot meet a boat landing at a different jetty without a further arrangement. Confirm the actual jetty, not just the word Lombok.
Scallywags uses its own Teluk Kodek marina and lists a return car journey to Lombok airport. Its logistics page estimates about two hours for that road leg alone. Different marinas and transfer products explain why a short boat crossing does not establish the total airport journey.

What should the quote cover?
Ask for the complete island-to-LOP price, passenger and luggage capacity, island meeting point, mainland landing, waiting arrangements and cancellation terms. Distinguish a per-boat or group charge from a per-person fare. Ask specifically about harbour charges and any early pickup supplement; the cited package page does not itemise every possible exclusion.
If you split the booking, buy a confirmed island-to-mainland crossing and a separate airport car. Do not budget using an airport-to-harbour car fare as if it also included the boat, or assume the reverse-direction tariff is identical. This guide does not quote an unverified public-boat fare or earliest sailing.
When weather changes the plan
A private boat gives scheduling flexibility, not permission to sail through a closure. If the crossing is disrupted, contact the transfer provider and airline while there is still time to change the trip. A combined ground-and-boat booking is not evidence that your separately booked flight is protected.
