Is there one Gili harbour fee?
Do not budget one island-wide harbour fee for every Gili journey. Your departure port, arrival island, booked operator and ticket inclusions need separate entries. The current operator terms checked for this guide do not establish a single public tariff covering all those journeys; an unquoted fee is not a confirmed zero. Keep Indonesian rupiah available for any separately payable port charge, and ask for the charge name and receipt before paying.
Separate port charges from services you can decline
A boat fare, a harbour levy, a sea shuttle, a hotel pickup, a porter and a horse-cart ride are different purchases. Have your booking confirmation show which are included. At the port, distinguish the operator check-in desk or official payment counter from an offer to carry your bag or arrange onward transport. Agree the price of an optional service before someone starts it; a request for luggage help does not establish a mandatory passenger levy.
Ekajaya: check-in closes before the sailing time
Ekajaya says check-in opens one hour before departure and closes strictly 30 minutes before; late passengers can be refused without a refund. Its terms also say Gili Air and Gili Meno departures involve earlier shuttle transfers, with local departures 30 minutes earlier. Do not arrive at the island meeting point using only the main ferry time: obtain the local meeting time on your actual booking. The terms allow at most two luggage pieces with a combined weight of 25 kg, and excess can be charged or refused.
Ekajaya: check-in, shuttle and luggage termsBlueWater Express: two bags, one specified Bali address
BlueWater Express allows up to two luggage pieces weighing no more than 25 kg in total. Excess carriage depends on space and can cost extra. Its Bali road-transport terms specify one address, supplied when booking, within designated areas; they do not mean an open-ended taxi service or permission to change hotels during the transfer. Keep the road pickup time separate from the boat check-in instructions on your ticket.
BlueWater Express: baggage and Bali road transfersGili Getaway: pickup is an add-on, not a free inclusion
Gili Getaway’s current FAQ says hotel pickup is not included in the fare. Private transfers can be added, while onward transport on the Gilis is the guest’s responsibility. The FAQ requests arrival at the dock at least 30 minutes before departure. A transfer arranged through the same seller can still be a separate charge. Its booking system also sells some crossings operated by another company: read the named operating carrier, not just the website name.
Gili Getaway: pickup, check-in and operating carrierBaggage and surfboards need their own price line
For Gili Getaway, the detailed carriage terms specify one luggage piece up to 25 kg, although the FAQ describes normal travel luggage more generally. Use that stated limit rather than assuming unlimited bags. The FAQ separately lists IDR 100,000 for a single-board surf bag or IDR 200,000 for a multi-board bag, per journey, added when booking. These are surfboard handling charges, not Gili harbour taxes. Other carriers’ rules are separate.

Write down the booked departure port, exact island, local meeting point, operating carrier, road pickup if purchased, passenger fare and separately payable extras. For a return booking, do the exercise in both directions; the departure arrangements are not interchangeable. Retain your confirmation and any port receipts.
