Return to Bali before flight day
If missing your flight would be costly, return to Bali the day before rather than relying on a same-day crossing. Ekajaya explicitly recommends travelling a day before a connecting flight. Treat that as a planning minimum, not a guarantee against a longer disruption: weather closures can outlast one day.
The return has three parts after leaving your room: reach the correct island check-in point, take the booked boat, then transfer from the Bali arrival port to your hotel or airport. Each is a separate handoff.

- Island departure
Confirm where you actually board
Ask the carrier for the island office or check-in point, reporting time and baggage arrangement. If you are staying on Meno but your ticket departs Air or Trawangan, the local transfer is a separate required leg.
- Return crossing
Read the return stop sequence
Check the date-specific direction. A return calling at Air and Bangsal before Padang Bai is not a nonstop Trawangan-to-Bali crossing.
BlueWater Express: seasonal routes and connection terms - Bali arrival
Name the port and road destination
Get the arrival port, transfer coverage and price in writing. A ticket ending at Padang Bai does not place you at the airport or at a hotel in south Bali.
- Flight buffer
Keep the flight outside the assumed arrival
Allow a Bali overnight before a flight where practical, and plan for a longer disruption if the consequences of missing it are serious.
Ekajaya: fares, transfers and cancellation FAQ
The return route can differ from the outbound
BlueWater’s October timetable lists a return from Trawangan through Air and Bangsal to Padang Bai and Serangan, alongside another return via Nusa Penida. Other months have their own tables. Your arrival port and the intermediate calls come from the sailing you buy, not the route you took on the way out.
A seller’s “direct” label can mean staying on one vessel, not skipping all stops. Read the listed sequence and check whether any change of vessel or local connection is involved. Do not apply Trawangan departure details to Air or Meno.
BlueWater Express: seasonal routes and connection termsPrice the final road leg
Ekajaya says its Bali shuttles are priced according to pickup or drop-off location. BlueWater warns that Padang Bai transfer coverage can differ between agents. Confirm whether your booking covers the actual onward address and what happens if the boat reaches port later than planned.
For a family or group, compare the complete party quote, not one adult’s boat-only fare. No fixed return fare, island transfer price or airport driving time is quoted here: those need the actual dates, port and transfer offer.
Ekajaya: fares, transfers and cancellation FAQKnow who handles a cancellation
BlueWater describes itself as a point-to-point carrier and disclaims responsibility for missed onward arrangements. Ekajaya’s FAQ describes weather-cancellation options, including rescheduling subject to availability or a refund; a third-party seller may have different terms. Save the terms attached to the booking, along with the carrier and seller contact details.
If service is disrupted, confirm the next available sailing before changing hotels or flights. An alternative via Lombok is not automatically available, faster or included in the original ticket.
BlueWater Express: seasonal routes and connection termsCheck before your final island night
Confirm island check-in, actual carrier, return stop order, Bali port and the road transfer. Keep essential documents and anything needed during a delay accessible rather than depending on checked luggage.
