Start with the island where you will sleep
Trawangan, Meno and Air sit off northwest Lombok. None has its own commercial airport: flying to the Gilis means landing elsewhere and finishing the trip by boat. The main planning choice is a fast boat from Bali, or arrival on mainland Lombok followed by a road transfer and a local crossing.
Decide on your sleeping island before buying the final boat leg. A ticket to Trawangan does not deliver you to a room on Meno. A snorkeling stop off an island is not evidence that a passenger service lands there.

From Bali: compare ports, not just operators
BlueWater Express recommends Serangan for south Bali and Padang Bai for central Bali. Use that as a starting point, not an automatic rule: compare the road transfer from your actual accommodation with the offered boat route for your month. Its seasonal schedule has different stop patterns, so a service via Nusa Penida is not the same journey as one via Padang Bai.
For Trawangan or Air, check the actual arrival listed in the offer. For Meno, require a named Meno landing or explicitly arrange the extra local connection. Do not silently replace Meno with Air because a seller groups them under one destination heading.

Flying to Lombok changes the approach, not the final destination. Vyaana on Gili Air describes Lombok as an air gateway; you still need to arrange onward transport to the coast and a boat to your island. Ask your accommodation or transfer operator to name both the mainland embarkation point and the island landing point.
Bangsal and Teluk Nare are not interchangeable pickup instructions. Confirm the location in writing, the final usable departure for your arrival day and what happens if your flight is delayed. Public-boat fares and cutoffs are not quoted here because we have not verified an authoritative current tariff. If the connection cannot be confirmed, stay on Lombok rather than assuming an after-dark crossing will be available.

Ask whether the price covers the road transfer, boat ticket, luggage, any landing or harbour charges and the final transfer to your room. Ekajaya says fares vary with season, availability and promotions; its Bali shuttles cost extra and depend on the pickup location. A fixed headline price is not a verified trip total.
Read the chosen operator’s current passenger restrictions and cancellation terms. A flight to Lombok is not a medical recommendation to use a local boat instead of a Bali fast boat: suitability depends on the passenger and actual vessel.

A published schedule is not a sailing guarantee. BlueWater warns that times can change with weather and that it does not protect missed onward arrangements. Keep a margin between the boat and a separately booked flight; for the return to Bali, Ekajaya recommends travelling the day before your flight.
